How do we collect personal information about you?

We obtain personal information about you that you provide to us through our website, emails, phone conversations, documents you provide to us or when you visit our office, for example when you:

You are renting out your dwelling 
If you engage SPR Property when you are renting out your property, SPR Property will record the following data:

  • your name, address and contact details, such as your telephone number and e-mail address
  • the reason why you are selling or renting out, such as a larger dwelling or a change in your work
  • the date of the registration of the dwelling and the period that the dwelling is or has been for sale or to rent
  • the description and characteristics of the dwelling, such as the rental price, the year of construction, the surface areas and layout, land registry details and the value for the purposes of the Dutch Valuation of Immovable Property Act
  • photos and videos of the dwelling
  • the reason for any withdrawal of the assignment to act as an intermediary
  • when the dwelling has been rented out: the transaction data such as the rental price and the transaction date
  • other information that you provide to SPR Property

You are looking for a dwelling
If you engage SPR Property for the renting out of a dwelling, SPR Property will record the following data:

  • your name, address and contact details, such as your telephone number and e-mail address
  • the search profile containing your wishes
  • information about your current dwelling, such as the rental price
  • the reason why you are renting, such as a larger dwelling or a change in your work
  • your age, income category and family composition
  • if you have rented a dwelling: the transaction details, such as the rental price and the transaction date
  • other information that you provide to SPR Property

You are renting a dwelling from someone who has engaged with SPR Property
If you have rented a dwelling and the landlord was assisted by SPR Property, SPR Property may record the following data:

  • your name, address and contact details, such as your telephone number and e-mail address
  • data about the dwelling you have rented, such as the address, characteristics of the dwelling, the rental price and the transaction date
  • the reason for renting
  • your age, income category and family composition
  • information about your former dwelling, such as the rental price or other information that you provide to the real estate broker

You are renting out your dwelling or you are looking for another dwelling
SPR Property uses your data to carry out the intermediary task that you have assigned to him. Your data may also be used:

  • to bring your dwelling to public attention, e.g. on websites, on the website of SPR Property or in sales brochures
  • to carry out assessments and other valuation appraisals (your dwelling will be used only as a reference property)
  • for performing analyses and compiling reports, so that SPR Property can improve his service
  • for sending you information about the products and services of SPR Property; if you do not wish to receive such information, you can contact SPR Property

The information we collect through our website using automated technical means includes: the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, identification number, online identifier and location data. We also collect information about your website visit including which website pages are accessed, page response times and length of visits to pages.

 

How long do we retain your personal information?

We review our retention periods for personal data on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information for certain prescribed periods to fulfil our statutory obligations. Our legal basis for this use is our legitimate interests, namely carrying out activities in the course of SPR Property’s business in response to customer enquiries or requests.
  • We may use your name, email address and postal address to provide you with information regarding similar goods and services to those you have already enquired about or purchased. Our legal basis for this use is our legitimate interests, namely the ongoing marketing of our goods and services to individuals with whom we have an existing relationship in connection with our goods and services and/or who have expressed an interest in those goods and services;
  • Where you have entered into a contract with us or we have provided you with services, we may use your name, email address, postal address or phone number to ask for your feedback about the services we have provided to you. Our legal basis for this use is our legitimate interests, namely evaluating and where necessary improving the quality of our service provision with a view to promoting the success of our business and positive customer relationships.
